Mrs. Dobb Math, ELA, Guided Studies

Math:

Today we warming up by reviewing fraction skills by making a practice problem for each kind of problem.

Next, we are checking homework.

Continue practicing converting the multiplication of decimals (money word problem) to a t-chart, graph and an equation.

HW:
Fraction word problem practice, in addition to creating a t chart for the multiplication problem of ordering 6 servings of vegetable soup for 1.35 each.

ELA:

Students reflected on what was frustrating about the learning showcase interview, what they learned and what they can now do as a result of the process.

Lastly, students began reading an article about the effects of sugar in one's diet and discussing connections to the information.

Guided Studies:

Those that are not finished are closing out their Volcano and Earthquake Fact Fiction books for science.

Students have a Social Studies South America Map Quiz tomorrow.  I gave them a blank copy and answer key to study.

Many worked on math homework in small groups.

Some worked on their narrative writing stories.

A few asked and received support on their Stream School applications.
